Mrs. Jean (Sobczyk) Budnik, 95 years, of Nahant, formerly of Salem and Cairo, New York, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Alexander Budnik and the late Stanislau Brezinsk. She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Andrea and Stefania Sobczyck She was raised in Massachusetts and in Poland. Mrs. Budnik has lived here since she was a 16 year old. Her parents sent her to America to make enough money to bring the rest of her family back to America. She worked as a seamstress for many years. Mrs. Budnik enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Iwaskow and her husband Eugene of New Jersey and Florida, Elaine Budnick-Ciara and her husband Paul of Nahant, her grandchildren Theresa, Michael, Diane and Michael, her great grandchildren, Steven, Scott, Michael, Danielle, Alexandra and Sean. Her funeral will be held on Saturday March 13, 2010 from the Papavero Funeral Home in Flushing New York followed by a funeral mass in St. Adelbert's Church, Flushing, New York at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Queens, NY Local arrangements by the SOLIMINE, LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME, Lynn
