Ms. Violande E. Abbruzzese, age 84, of Marblehead, died Tuesday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, after a brief illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret (DiBenedetto) Abbruzzese. She lived in Lynn for the greater part of her life.
Violande enjoyed spending time at the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore in Marblehead. She loved music and loved the church. In the past 10 years, she was able to enjoy traveling with her family. She was loved and cared for by her family and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her sister; Edith Bartlett of Marblehead as well as many nieces and nephews. She was recently predeceased by her brother, Guido Abbruzzese.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8AM from the SOLIMINE, LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME, 67 Ocean St. (Rt 1A), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anne's Church, Salem at 9AM. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visitation will be on Friday from 7-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Junior Blind of America, 5300 Angeles Vista Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90043.
