Stephen Loomos, age 65, of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of Lynn, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Bernadette (Balducci) Clark.
Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Christos and Crisoula (Kakridas) Loomos. A graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1962, he had worked at the family business "Loomos Bros. Liquor" on Boston Street in Lynn while attending school. He had moved to Florida 30 years ago.
Stephen was a fan of the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins, and he enjoyed traveling. Stephen knew how to enjoy life and the time spent with his friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepson Brent Clark, and his wife Kim, of Vermont, twin grandchildren Marley and Shelly Clark, his brother Peter Christos Loomos, and his wife Loretta, of Lynnfield, his sister Mary Leach, and her husband Ted, of Fairfield Ct., his cousins Arthur Loomos, Mary Loomos, both of Lynn, Nicholas Loomos, of Wellesley, and Peter Loomos, of Lynnfield, and his nieces and nephews James Leach, Karen Littlefield, and Christopher, Kristen, and Michael Loomos.
His Funeral will be held on Monday at 9am from the SOLIMINE LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME 426 BROADWAY (RTE129), LYNN, followed by a Funeral Service at 10am in St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hour's Sunday 3-8pm. In lieu of Flowers Donations may be made to Hospice by the Sea 1531 West Palmetto Park Rd. Boca Raton, Fla. 33431.
